Rhona in The Gates

The Premiere of the new TV series THE GATES debuted Sunday June 20, 2010 on ABC.

In the “Pilot” Episode 1: Nick Monohan, the new police chief, moves his family into their new home in The Gates, an exclusive gated upper-class community. Immediately, there is a missing persons report to investigate on Nick's first day on the job.

It seems one of Nick's neighbors has an awful secret. Claire Radcliff (Rhona Mitra) is a vampire with a thirst for fresh blood, despite the fact that she and her vampire hubby bottle their own supply and keep it in the wine seller. Forced to cover up her moment of weakness, and a dead body, Claire must deal with her angry hubby as well as another neighbor who knows too much. Meanwhile, teenage Charlie Monohan finds a new potential girlfriend at school, Andie Bates, who is already dating jealous jock Brett.
